• ELEGANT & ENDURING

This 365 million-year-old architectural stone is found exclusively on the Isle of Man yet used in beautiful buildings the world over, from cathedrals and castles to airports and private homes. Carefully extracted and crafted by our family of quarrymen and artisans, our unique ‘Manx Marble’ is transformed into interior and exterior centrepiece commissions.

  • STYLE STATEMENT

Inky black and silken to the touch once polished; each Pooil Vaaish slab contains rare fossil fragments, glints of pure iron pyrite and tiny calcite crystal veins. These shine white against the deep black, naturally distinguishing it from all other materials.

  • PURE PROVENANCE

Each and every client is assured of total transparency from commission to completion. Our experienced team guides you through the design process; assisting with the choice of individual polished slabs and suggesting bespoke finishing touches that best reflect your vision. You will receive a certificate of origin tracing your stone from quiet coastal quarry bed to final inspection.

  • ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES

From striking accent flooring, timeless fireplaces and sweeping staircases to grand archways and imposing gate pillars, each example of luxurious Pooil Vaaish stonework is unequivocally unique.

  • TIMELESS TRADITION

We use extraction techniques based on those pioneered by the Egyptians in the building of the Pyramids of Giza. Each block is hand-drilled and extracted to retain its ancient structural integrity, as it has been since the site was first quarried 500 years ago.
